Today I woke up happy

I woke up in a forest
Surrounded by those I love
To celebrate the fortieth
Of my unofficial big bruv
I’d made a life in France
When my own disaster struck
But today I know I’ve been blessed

There are some things in life
You really can’t fight
Though they are just not right
Don’t sink into that mud

Top down music blaring
Bright red sports car screeches to a halt
Plundering peace without caring
Countryside cruelly woken with a jolt ©
